Get to know Adelaide financial adviser, Paul Cetrangolo
Why are you in the finance industry?
I have always had a passion for numbers, figures and problem solving. When I left school, I worked in a trustee company that had financial advisers and when working with them, I realised that I wanted to work with people to help them solve their financial problems.
I love helping people set goals, put strategies in place and then see the satisfaction on their faces when they achieve the desired outcomes.
I feel that there is not enough knowledge amongst people when it comes to personal financial strategies (superannuation, investments, cashflow management) and I enjoy educating clients in not only what we do but why we do things so that they can take some ownership of their financial futures and help educate others.
What do you do outside of work?
Sport is a massive part of my life. I love watching and playing sport and spending time with my family. I have been refereeing football (soccer) at all levels for 27 years. I was previously on the international list of match officials, and I am involved in refereeing at A-League level.
Both myself and my wife enjoy watching and supporting our two sons play junior footy at Port Districts Football Club. On weekends, I love spending time with my kids as we go and watch footy or sit back and watch it on TV. Thankfully, my sons support the same teams as I do in AFL, NRL and NFL.
