Why are you in the finance industry?
I was initially interested in saving money when I started my first job, I enjoyed seeing my bank balance grow over time and thought it would be good to help others do the same. I took an opportunity to complete a Tranieeship with a large bank completely changing my career direction. As a was exposed to more areas of finance through work I gained a strong interest in investments and advice and further undertook study to expand my skills in this area.
What do you do outside of work?
I watch a lot of US based sports including NBA, NFL and MMA. I love looking, talking and working on cars. Finally spending time with my fiancee.
What do you enjoy about working at Heard Financial?
It is great to see how everyone at Heard Financial is client-focused with everything they do. HF has a great culture, everyone gets along and listens to each other’s ideas of how to approach a situation or improve. Having a background with big organisations sometimes the client focus gets lost. Everyone at HF has the client experience at the centre of what they do and when everyone is working toward a common goal it makes an extremely enjoyable workplace.
